BREAKING: Flood Warning issued for Metawee River in Granville

The NWS has issued a Flood Warning as heavy rains are causing the river to crest above minor flood stage.

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Flood Warning for the Metawee River in Granville effective until tomorrow afternoon as the river is expected to rise to 7.4 feet just past midnight, which is above the flood stage of 7.0 feet. 

Flooding is expected to cause water to cover parts of Upper Turnpike Road and Gray Lane in the town of Granville.  

The river is expected to fall back below flood stage on Saturday Morning.
