There are some promising signs that inflation is beginning to slow down and increases in wages are finally outpacing inflation. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, inflation climbed 2.5% over the last 12 months (ending in August) down from 3.4% over the previous year, and average hourly earnings have increased 4%.
