Auburn University in Alabama is now offering a master’s degree in beer brewing science and operations.  The program is the first of its kind in the US. According to the university, its first cohort of 17 students graduated in August 2023 after a Master of Science element was added in 2021. Initially, the program began in the autumn of 2015 as a simple graduate certificate but has since expanded to include the master’s.  The program takes two years to complete over six semesters.
